"If a hug represented how
much I love you; I would hold you in my arms forever"

We (Alice and I) started out back in 1985 with these two, Todd disabled and challenged and he had a whole different outlook on life. We went thru hospital after hospital and spent a lot of years in therapy and finally he found someone who he thought his life would click with but that didn't work either in the end but he's now on his own in an ALF and holding his own.
Drew on the other hand, had energy to burn. Much of it. He was what we thought was not abnormal in any way - just that his challenge was to challenge us :). He was bored in school, wanted to be busy and started one day on roller blades went thru a few ramps, and ended up on an ice rink.
Due to many unfortunate years with a not-so healthy atmosphere in that field, he's now making way for a life to hold a lot of love for him. He's learned a lot of hard hard stuff but both boys have and have found that they are good people and both are challenged in different ways but are loving people and will survive whatever life throws at them.
